Interlude: Filler Episodes

Just for fun.

Deep Space Nine, Season 3, Episode 8, Meridian

So, I originally wanted this week’s Interlude to be about filler episodes. My boyfriend and I are about halfway through season 3 of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine and boy is it a drag.

Of course, it’s only natural to expect a 26-episode season to have a few misses here and there, but the consistency with which episodes like 6-15 fail to contribute anything to either the season arc or the character development is truly astonishing.
